Cancer Wellness:

Cancer Wellness magazine is a new enlighted magazine for anyone affected by cancer. Its unique mix of health, wellness, beauty, entertainment, and medical coverage provides the essentials for an ever-growing community to thrive with and beyond the scope of cancer. This notion attracted me to the brand and ignited my creative determination to launch the cancer-centric brand. After researching competition and finding out that the elevated lifestyle components of the magazine set us apart from the competition, I came up with the tagline: unique, enlightened, chic. This along with many other imperative building blocks helped form this exciting, much-needed brand.

Being the managing editor means that I must be dynamic, resourceful, and extremely flexible. In just short of 6 months, an editorial and creative team was built and an elaborate plan was constructed to create an 80-page print version of Cancer Wellness, a website (including a digital version of the magazine), social media pages (@cancerwellmag),  and a distribution/marketing/advertising plan. The large-scale goal was achieved and Cancer Wellness launched on July 26th — kicking off with a bang at the #cWLaunch event at Soho House, which I was the event planner for. All things considered, this was one of the most difficult, yet rewarding experiences of my life thus far. Seeing and hearing the positive reactions from key members of the cancer community at the launch event was a touching one for the books.

Additionally, I story board and do product placement for social videos such as the Cancer Wellness Restoring Beauty video.

Vogelzang:

Since joining Vogelzang Law in December 2017, I spearheaded a new website buildout, was the project lead the client guidebook creation, and built out/optimized their CRM. Website traffic has more than doubled (both direct and organic) since last year at this time. Through keyword analysis/strategy implementation and on-page SEO optimization, Vogelzang Law has been on a positive growth trajectory since February 2018. Additionally, Vogelzang Law has been active on the blog for 6 months, which continues to gain traffic with increased session times each month. Most importantly, I set the marketing goals and manage the budget, which consists of line items for PPC, creative, photos, SEO, advertising, marketing tools, content creation, and more.

In terms of social media, I created the campaign strategies including #MythMondays, #TreatmentTuesday/#ChicagoTuesdayAsbestosCall, events/charity call outs on Wednesdays (#VogelzangLawEvents), incentivized marketing on Thursdays, and #FairnessFridays. I closely monitor the analytics to make sure our CTA’s are clear and that we’re meeting or exceeding the goals we’ve set. Having not only built out the tools necessary to attract and retain new business, but also the team needed to do so including copywriters, designers, web developers, and marketers has been an extremely rewarding learning experience. I’ve enjoyed working with this team and vendors to implement our robust digital campaign strategies.

DePaul University Projects (2013/2014):

Integrated Marketing Campaign (DePaul) – zara

Sponsorship Campaign (DePaul) – ChicagoFire

Gaper’s Block Project – GapersBlockConsultation

Stefani’s Restaurant’s Marketing Campaign (DePaul) – PRAD339- Stefanis

  • The information was presented to the clients (Chicago Fire, Gaper’s Block, Stefani’s) and some aspects were implemented.
  • Advertising copywriting and full campaign projects are not presented here on account of lost files, but this was a huge part of my schooling. I was passionate about it and loved creating slogans, taglines, and pitches based off of target research. For Vision, our tagline is “make it real.” Some inspiration came from Nike’s famous “just do it.”
